3 of 4 Americans who took on student loans say they were forced to delay a major life event like buying a house, getting married or starting a family

Our Mission
Simply put…we aspire to help families navigate the college planning and decision process taking
into account both dreams and real world constraints. We aim to empower future college students to make informed decisions that set them up for a happy, prosperous future and to do so within the economic means
of their families.
The Problem
The cost of college tuition, in inflation adjusted dollars, is two times what today’s parents paid for their own education. Even with
the growing popularity of 529 plans, many families still struggle to save enough. According to the 2024 Sallie Mae report "How America Pays for College", 62% of parents are relying on their current income to fund their child’s education; 21% are tapping into retirement savings. Additionally, 30% of students and 23% of parents take on education debt. With increasing uncertainty for public funding in support of students and the institutions they attend, the pressure on families is expected to rise.
As such, the stakes of the college decision are high. Yet, 41% of families don’t discuss the financial realities of college, including
budgeting, funding, and repayment. Additionally, many fail to connect a student’s desired lifestyle after college with their choice of school and major. Without a tool to guide these conversations, parents and students may struggle to align and may fail to make fully informed decisions. College CoPlanner is software available on a subscription basis that fills that void at a price that is affordable to all.
